You can find a full user guide here: http://www.inchhosting.co.uk/joomla/fle ... guide.html courtesy of Ian, an enthusiastic user who has been good enough to write it for us.

Where might I find something more in depth than the brief user guide please? I'm familiar with a 1.5 version (not sure if it's yours or not, some parts seem to be the same, but I'm totally lost on the Category Manager part of the "new" Flexbanner. I also don't see where to add the image like I did before. There is no "add" for the Flexbanner part, perhaps it shows up after I do something with Category? I've searched youtube for help, and the internet, everything points back to the 7 step components page. Please help.

Thanks!

Forgot to mention, my previous experience with Flexbanner was in association with mod_jaslideshow2 which seems not to be available for Joomla 2.5. We used to have the JA_Opal template which featured a slideshow and a flexbanner side by side...couldn't display both unless both modules were chosen. I'm currently running on JA Purity II, Joomla 2.5, and would like to include at least the Flexbanner functionality. We associate the banner with one customer at a time, not a category, although this might be a nice feature, once I understand why it is necessary.

Sorry, I'm aware the user guide isn't as complete as it could be.

In order to set up a banner you must have each of the other elements (e.g. category, link, position) set up first. Then it will allow you to set up the banner.

Category is exactly that. It is simply an ability to place each banner in a category for ease of management. If this is not useful to you then simply set up a "general" category and put all your banners in there.

Thanks for the response! Just now getting back to this part of the new site familiarization! I'll see what I can do to make use of categories, just might come in handy!
