Adding 2nd domain to website

I have a hosted website with a .org domain. Is it possible to use a second domain name (URL) to access the same website? Could this second URL land on a slightly different initial page? Would I be able to find out in my Joomla site which URL had been used?

Assuming we are talking about Inch Hosting then, yes, you can point a second domain to a website. We make a small charge to do this and you can order domain mapping from our order services page.

Getting it to point to a different landing page is slightly different. Our packages are really only designed for a single site but, if you know what you are doing, it can be achieved using a rewrite rule using a .htaccess file in the root directory.
